Trying to find an old fantasy book? - old wood and human scabies

I need help trying to an old book that I read it to find out some 15 years ago, I can not remember the title or author.

I only know that the book is divided into two parts. The first part is called NORTH & SOUTH SIDE second part.
The book is very complex and has many characters and a glossary for many of the terminology used in the back of the book.
I remember the book from a plant known as powdery mildew. When the bite of a meat plant, the people slowly on wood, but a race of black men in the book as a bog or persons for any reason NOOR IMUN facility mentioned.
The Book of the main character, an unlikely hero white man would see a young black woman, she is the daughter of a great queen of her people to impregnate.
It was a humanoid bird-man race in the book and ate the fish and the book describes the eye and its surroundings like a human aspect.
